Cupro Lounge Shorts

Cupro is a biodegradable textile fiber. It is made from short cotton seed fibers that cannot be processed into cotton yarn and would therefore end up as waste. For a long time, the production of Cupro was banned because it requires copper and ammonia. However, the Japanese company Asahi Kasei has optimized the production of Cupro to such an extent that the large quantities of water and chemicals remain within a closed loop until they are completely exhausted. Afterward, the chemicals used are free of compounds that are toxic or hazardous to health and the environment.

Our Italian supplier processes the fibers from Japan into a fabric that is characterized by a silky yet warm feel.
